We begin at the drawing board, where our team of skilled technicians work through the exacting processes of designing, tooling and testing. Copper, stainless-steel and aluminium - Mauviel utilise a range of different raw materials, producing cookware to suit the needs and style of professional and household cooks. We start by producing discs of varying diameters inline with the final product design.
Our machines are primed and tuned in preparation for the demanding manufacturing process.
A large number of our products are handmade by our experienced craftsmen, using age-old techniques. Other products are made using highly specialised automated processes and precision machinery. Mauviel products have been made with the same passion and know-how for over 800 years. Many of our products are hammered: a feature which gives the distinctive aesthetique of Mauviel, and adds to the authentic finish. Welding is carried out entirely by hand to an exceptionally high standard. The distinctive handle is the original design by Ernest Mauviel, further testament to the timeless quality of our cookware.
